Bulletin Insert & Monitor Requirements

- BULLETIN SIZES & REQUIREMENTS
Please follow these guidelines to ensure bulletin inserts are readable and fit the available space. Submit graphics in one of the approved sizes as high-resolution JPEG or PNG files. We cannot accept photos or screenshots of inserts, Word documents, or PDFs.

  Accepted Insert Sizes:
  Quarter-page: 4.65" × 3.875" or 3.875" x 4.65"
  One-third page: 4.65" × 3.1"
  Half-page: 4.65" × 7.75"

Full page inserts are reserved for Parish Special Events, Major Announcements, and Liturgical Schedules, and may be subject to parish leadership approval. Outside organizations, including diocese events, must be designed and submitted in the insert sizes listed above.

  Recommended Design Guidelines:
Keep it simple. Use a clear headline, essential event details, and one direct call to action (call, email, register, etc.)
Make it readable. Use a minimum 12-point font. Larger type is encouraged, especially for audiences who may have difficulty reading smaller text.
Limit the copy. Aim for approximately 10–12 words per line, with fewer words for smaller inserts.
Prioritize essential details. Include the event name, date, time, location, and registration or response instructions as applicable.
Use high-quality graphics. Submit high-resolution images and logos to avoid blurry or pixelated results.
Provide one primary contact. Include a single contact and their phone number or email address so readers know whom to contact.
Avoid overcrowding. If the text does not fit comfortably, simplify the content rather than shrinking the font. QR codes and URLs should not replace essential information or a clearly stated call to action. We highly encourage listing the URL with the QR code.

Please note: We may need to resize or adjust submitted graphics to fit the available space. Submitting a graphic does not guarantee placement at the requested size, as bulletin space is limited and subject to availability.

We strongly discourage using AI to generate your inserts and graphics. In general, it undermines trust in your organization, lacks polish, and distracts from the content. If you need guidance on creating suitable images for printing and display, please reach out to Grace Duffy, Director of Marketing & Communications, for assistance. You can contact her at [email protected] or by calling 972-398-5416.
- MONITOR SIZE & REQUIREMENTS

Graphics need to be provided in 1920 x 1080 px, with minimal text appropriate for a 10-second viewing time and optimized for the varying screen sizes throughout the parish.

  Recommended Design Guidelines:
Adjust the layout to ensure all text, images, and links are centered, with ample clear space around the edges (bleed). Each monitor across campus is a different size, so we want to make sure nothing gets cut off.
Provide a clear call to action and essential details (event name, time, date, and location)
Include a point of contact (name and email) or QR code, and URL.

Please submit a high-resolution image in PNG or JPEG format.
