The 10:00 AM Choir celebrates our ancestors and contemporaries alike as we sing both traditional hymns and new songs.  Each style complements the other and enriches the sung prayer of the people. Our setting is 4-part harmony with color and texture added by strings, woodwinds, piano, and organ.

To enhance the sung prayer of the people attending the 10:00 AM mass.

Rehearsal SCHEDULE

• Thursdays: 7:00 - 9:00 p.m 
  Please arrive by 6:50 p.m.
  Church sanctuary or the choir practice room near the west narthex doors

• Sundays: 9:15 a.m. Warm-Up
  Choir practice room, prior to Mass

Note: At certain times of the year, rehearsal time may be expanded or moved to accommodate special music requirements.

Special Celebrations

All choir members are invited to participate in the Seton Festival Choir for Thanksgiving, Easter, and other special liturgical celebrations. For many years, we have also sung a special musical setting of Our Lord’s Passion on Good Friday at noon, a deeply prayerful and moving experience for those whose schedules allow them to take part.

Calendar

Four times a year, the 10:00 choir planning committee and the director meet to plan the music for the upcoming church season.  All choir members are encouraged to contribute ideas and music selections for those sessions.  Members of the committee change from time to time to introduce fresh ideas. 

These planning sessions occur approximately in February, May, August, and November.

How to Join the 10:00 aM Choir

If you love to sing or play a woodwind or string instrument, we invite you to consider joining the choir. The ability to read music is helpful but not required, and choir members are always guaranteed a seat at Mass. Instrumentalists should be fairly proficient, as our limited rehearsal time does not allow for beginners who are just learning their instrument.
