Children’s Liturgy offers a special opportunity for older elementary and early middle school students at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton to take an active role in the Mass as lectors, greeters, and ushers. It’s a meaningful way for children to grow in faith, confidence, and service while participating fully in parish life.
Children’s Liturgy Mass
Approximately once a month, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton celebrates Children’s Liturgy at the Saturday 5:00 p.m. Mass. This Mass is designed to help younger parishioners engage more deeply in worship, with:
A homily geared to a child’s level and interests
Older elementary students serving as lectors and ushers
The Children’s Choir singing during scheduled Masses throughout the school year
Additional prayer services planned with children in mind
Who Can ParticipateChildren in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades are invited to participate as lectors or ushers. Participants typically serve about once a month, depending on interest and participation.
TrainingTraining for all new Children’s Liturgy lectors and ushers is held at the beginning of each session year. Check the weekly bulletin to find out when and where!
