"In 2005, I became a member of SEAS and attended church almost every Sunday with my husband and son, but was not really involved in the parish. Then one Sunday in 2011, as I flipped through the bulletin at church I saw the announcement about the women’s ACTS retreat...Upon my return from the weekend, I felt energized to find other ministries that the Lord was calling me to use my talents." The primary work on these two days consisted of working on the exterior of the house - installing siding, the trim around the siding, and caulking around the siding and trim. Other work included sheetrocking storage rooms, removing chunks of concrete and rock from the yard, and leveling out, as best we could, the front yard. There is still a lot of work that needs to be done. If you are interested in volunteering there are spots available - new build dates are being assigned, additional workers are needed on some days, and volunteers sometimes need to cancel.

The Lord taught the disciples not to stay where they were not welcomed. The Good Lord does not want us to spend time with people who are not open to the Word that we have to share, but rather keep positive and keep moving forward to find those who do want to hear and live the message that has been revealed.
